Where is your studio?
My studio is based in Ashford, just a 25–30-minute drive from Oxford, offering a calm and relaxed environment for your headshot and portrait photography sessions.
How should I prepare for the shoot?
In advance of your Oxford shoot, I will send you all the information you will need, including travel and transport, outfit and makeup ideas. We’ll discuss the style of photos you’re looking for. On shoot day, lay off caffeine and alcohol – even for Dutch courage – as both can make skin pallid and pupils dilate (so we can’t capture the colour of your iris). Avoid both the evening before, too, and get a good night’s sleep.
What happens at your shoot?
When you arrive at the Ashford studio, I will show you around, make sure you’re comfortable and offer you a drink (caffeine only after we’ve finished shooting!). We’ll discuss the order of photos and go over Secret Posing Tips™. During an Unlimited Session, we can fit in several lighting setups and at least three to four outfit changes – or more. At the end, we’ll select which photos you’d like to keep so you leave knowing you have images you love.
When will I get my images?
As I shoot tethered to my laptop, you’ll see how the photos come out in real time – allowing us to adjust lighting and poses as we go, and helping you learn to look good in front of the camera. We’ll select the images you’d like to keep during your headshot & portrait shoot, then I’ll process them and send your photos within 10 days.
